While summer is here and many college students are working hard and spending time with friends, a select group of people decided that they just couldn't get enough of school! Students from Martin Luther College, Wisconsin Lutheran College, and various others are embarking on a journey to the countries of Argentina and Uruguay from June 1-July 8th.
Argentina is the second largest country in South America. Here, we'll be staying in the capital of Buenos Aires for the majority of the time (which is bigger than the city of New York! Population - 12 million in the surrounding area). We will also be spending a week in the city of Bariloche and Uruguay's capital Montevideo.
In Argentina and Uruguay, we will be taking various classes to improve our Spanish (and some of us Italian this year!) and traveling to different places within the city. Although we have the chance to experience many tourist attractions and the wonders that God has created, we are here for a great opportunity to learn the language, history, and culture of Latin America.
Erin Kelly and I (Nate Solofra) are two students from Martin Luther College. We'll be posting some pictures and a brief day to day analysis of events that are taking place. Feel free to tell others about our blog!
