The First Two Days

My updated passport!
Hi everyone!

Pizza at Guerrin's
We're officially here!  After about flying for about 14 hours and sitting in the Sao Paulo airport for five, we finally made it to Buenos Aires!  About 15 of the group arrived on Saturday and stayed in the Hotel Castelar.  Last night we got to try the delicious Guerrin's pizza--yum!
Palermo

Today we left the hotel and went in taxis to our host families' homes.  Most of us are staying in Palermo, the same district where our school is.  We spend a lot of time exploring Palermo this afternoon and discovered just how huge it is!  We had some delicious empanadas at a little restaurant, and David, Nate, and Danielle found that the McDonald's of Argentina has some pretty wonderful coffee!

Buenos Aires is very beautiful and the people here have been so friendly to us, which has been a wonderful way to start the trip.  Tomorrow morning we begin our classes!

Chao!

  1. Praise the Lord all arrived safely. It's a good thing that the coffee is top-notch; otherwise it would be a long 5 weeks.

  2. Thanks for sending the blog link! Will be fun to follow your travels from afar (from back in the less exotic locale of Southern Minnesota).
